1.The invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in the Development Business, issue no. 682 dated 16 July 2006
2.The People’s Republic of China has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development toward the cost of The Second Beijing Environment Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for Datun Solid Waste Transfer Station Reconstruction.
3.China International Tendering Company, the Procurement Agent, on behalf of Beijing Siqing Environmental Sanitation Engineering Group Co., Ltd, the Purchaser, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Procurement of:

pief description of the Goods:
Semi-trailer waste transfer trucks, totally 40 sets. Loading mass of the truck is 20 ton. The truck shall be content with European No. III emission limit standard. The trucks are to be used for waste transportation for Datun waste Transfer Station in Beijing. It is required that the trucks shall be capable of connecting to compressing system of the transfer station expediently, reliably, and avoiding second-pollution in transportation, unloading waste automatically in landfills. Also it shall be capable of running on manual operation if necessary.
4.Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IpD Loans and IDA Credits, January 5,1995 (revised January and August, September 1997 and January 1999) and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines.
5.Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the China International Tendering Company and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm (Beijing Time) during the period from September 8, 2006 (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and official holidays in China).
6.A complete set of bidding document in English may be purchased by interested bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of RMB 1,000.00 or USD120.00. The acceptable method of payment is cash or certified check.

7.Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 10: 00 a.m. (Beijing Time) on October 24, 2006. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of minimum two percent (2%) of the bid price or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 10:00 am (Beijing Time) October 24, 2006.
